What is collected
A member account uses an email address and authentication credentials managed through Netlify Identity. The community database stores your display name, optional profile, followed topics, contributions, saved articles, self-recorded learning reflections, helpful votes, reports, notifications and moderation records. Your password is not stored in the community database.
What other people can see
Published posts and comments show your display name. A public directory profile is optional and off by default. When enabled, it shows your display name, discipline, region and bio. Your email, saved reading, learning reflections and reports are not public. Authorised administrators can access data needed to operate the service and process requests.
Cookies and local storage
Essential HttpOnly session cookies maintain sign-in. They are not available to ordinary page scripts. A service worker caches public pages for offline reading. The website does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics in this release. Your downloaded worksheets remain on your device.
Hosting and service providers
The implementation uses Netlify hosting, Functions, Identity and Database. Authentication email delivery is handled by the configured identity email provider. These services may process data outside your country. Their applicable hosting, processing and transfer arrangements must be reviewed by the operator before launch.
Photographs and external requests
The portable preview and any build made before local photograph download request images from Pexels. That provider receives the network information needed to serve the image, such as your IP address. The normal production build downloads and serves these photographs from this website instead. Following an external source or credit link opens that provider's website and its own privacy terms apply.
Retention and security
Account data is retained while the account is active, subject to the operator's legal obligations. Expired rate-limit records are periodically removed. Moderation records may be retained to handle abuse and disputes. Before public launch, the operator must define and publish specific retention periods, backup arrangements and a request-handling process. No website can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, switch directory visibility off, remove bookmarks, download your personal data or submit an account-removal request from your dashboard. A removal request is reviewed by an administrator; it is not immediate automatic deletion. Public discussion contributions may need to be anonymised rather than removed where preserving a conversation is justified. Contact the operator to exercise applicable privacy rights.
Use of the site
Reading and a member account are free in this release. The site is intended for professional knowledge exchange. Content is general information, not a professional engagement or a guarantee of compliance. Verify current requirements and seek appropriate competent advice for decisions. External links are provided for context, without endorsement or control over their contents.
Contributions
You retain ownership of your contributions and grant the operator a non-exclusive permission to host, display and moderate them for this community. Submit only material you have the right to share. No broad resale or model-training permission is requested by this notice.
