Editorial standards

Trust comes from showing
how you reached the view.

A clear reference trail. Visible uncertainty. Corrections that remain part of the record.

Evidence, interpretation and experience

Source findings should be attributed. Editorial interpretation should be recognisable as interpretation. Field experience should include enough context to understand its limits. Hypothetical examples must not be presented as recorded incidents. We do not fabricate statistics, citations, case studies, authors or credentials.

Original sources first

Prefer legislation from the official legal publisher, guidance from the issuing body and research from the original study. Include jurisdiction, edition or date where material. A link is not a claim that a document is the latest applicable version. Never reproduce paid standards or copyrighted articles without permission.

Authorship and review

Named contributors are responsible for accurate bylines and declared interests. A site membership does not validate their competence. The launch library is credited to the Safe Healthy Work editorial desk, discloses AI assistance and is not independently peer-reviewed. Technical review must not be implied until it has actually occurred.

AI assistance

AI may assist with drafting, organisation and production. It must not be described as a source of evidence or a substitute for qualified review. Material factual and technical claims should be checked against the cited sources. AI assistance is disclosed at article level.

Corrections and currency

Material corrections should explain what changed and when. Publication and update dates should stay visible. Readers may flag errors through comments or the contact channel. A legal or technical update needs review before it becomes a new statement of fact; this is not an automated breaking-news service.

Commercial interests

Sponsored material and relationships must be labelled. Product claims require a clear basis. Contributors must disclose relevant employment, consultancy or commercial interests. No payment may buy an undisclosed endorsement or a favourable moderation decision.

Respectful disagreement

Challenge the evidence or reasoning, not a person's dignity. Moderators may withhold unsafe instructions, identifiable personal information, unsupported allegations, plagiarism or promotional spam. Disagreement alone is not a reason to remove a contribution.
